The Next Generation of Aircraft

InterFlight Studio knows that there will always be a new generation of aircraft, one better than the last.  And even better for them, because InterFlight Studio has recently begun designing their own products and designs for market using only the original parts from recycled aircraft.

It is a brilliant idea, to upcycle parts from a retired plane.  And what better place to imagine these enormous and modern design pieces, why not place them where they came from to start with, an airport!

It is easy to see how well the aircraft parts made into unique design pieces can work in an airport.  They can give the airport a discussion piece for everyone who walks through it.  The pieces themselves will help people to think of pleasant things while they fly/walk through the airport.  Perhaps maybe art is the way to re-teach people the positive aspects of flight.  In today's modern society, we often forget how new this technology is to the human race, and how much it changed the world we are living in today.
Today flying is associated with lots of annoyances like security checks, loud people, and long lines.  However, when people walk through an airport with multiple art and design pieces made with up-cycled aircraft parts, they begin to interact with the aircraft like most people never have before.  Instead of being bored at the airport, they will marvel in approval at the brilliant design technologies.  People will find these pieces interesting, and a way to appreciate the flights of the recent past.

Miami Art Basel 2013

Miami's Art Basel 2013

Oscar Garcia, President of InterFlight Studio, took to the galleries to get the word out about the next great artist, especially on the aviation scene.  Richard Kai, an artist and pilot from Japan, has been making the most amazing paintings.

Pictured Below:  Snow Covered Approach
What a beautiful view of the northern lights and the blue moon through the window of the cockpit.

Richard Kai is inspired by city-scapes and skies.  As a former pilot of international lines and large scale planes, Richard Kai has had a lot of flying hours in the cockpit.  From memory, he has transformed those visionary experiences into oil paintings.

When you look at one of Kai's pieces, you can easily imagine yourself as the pilot, behind a 747 about to land in one of the world's most fabulous cities.  New York, Hiroshima, Paris, London, or Hawaii, no matter what city you are landing in, the world looks beautiful from Kai's perspective.

Dont be surprised when you see Richard Kai's work on the Miami scene.  His bright color pallet really connects with the Art Deco lifestyle of Miami, and its themes resonate with Miami's jet setting culture.

Check out Richard Kai's work at the link here:  http://www.interflightstudio.com/#!richard-kai/cepr

The Fountain of Flight Concept - Airport Luxury

The Fountain of Flight Concept
As visualized in an airport.  Design Concept copyright owned by InterFlight Studio 2013

The future is all about green energy and re-purposing materials creatively.  What better way to create a future airport design than by using the airplanes from the past and turning them into functional art.  The fountain of flight was created for big spaces.  Airports, hotels, even large homes.

This fountain is made from the cowling of a jet engine.  This idea, by the in-house design team at InterFlight Studio, is a great, simple way of showing your love of aviation through design.

Right now this idea is a copyrighted concept.  However, if you would like to make this fountain a reality for you, your property, or whatever you have in mind, InterFlight Studio is here for you.  Simply email us at:  gallery@interflightstudio.com and someone will be ready to fulfill your aviation design dreams.
We can even design you something completely custom, made just for you and your space.  Whether you want a couch, table, shelves, chandelier, or fountain, InterFlight Studio's creative team will design around you.

Fountain of Flight - Airport Design

The Fountain of Flight takes to the Airport.  This would be the ideal setting for this wonderful fountain.  Designed from the cowling of an original aircraft sent to the scrap yard, this is a wonderful way to repurpose aviation parts and make them admirable once again.

This fountain simply commands the attention of spectators old and young.  What a great way to introduce aviation history, and aviation luxury design to people around the world  This fountain is a simple concept which can be infinitely elaborated upon for the biggest or the smallest of projects.  Interflight Studio is on top of the aviation design market, delivering one of a kind unique aviation pieces made by real artists for an ever changing, ever evolving world.  These designs will stand the test of time.  In addition to generating more interest for aviation and design, InterFlight Studio is also demonstrating remarkable ways to recycle old materials and make them new again.  In our current global situation, every little bit of recycling helps.  By setting this example, of going "green" and recycling, perhaps it will help to shift the collective thought to establishing some type of re-purposing program themselves.

Turbine Blade Chandelier Concept

Check out the latest concept by InterFlight Studio.  A custom made Turbine Blade Chandelier.  This wonderful dramatic piece is made with real turbine blades.

At InterFlight Studio, we will work with you to make sure you get the perfect design piece for your space.  Since each one is completely custom made, you can choose how big or small you want this piece.  We offer these blades, as is, or with a silver shine finishing on each one.

Let us make you high flying aviation dreams come true.

This chandelier was inspired by geometric shapes, aviation, and industrial design.  I wanted to create a piece of "furniture" that was masculine as well as in good design taste.  Most chandeliers are made to impress women, however, there is not many options for lighting that appeal to men.
This turbine blade chandelier is the answer to those problems.  The square and rectangular shapes are more pleasing to men, as well as the materials used in this design.  The layering technique is also appealing to women.  Giving it a subtle look of grace makes it the perfect middle point between male and female taste.

Please go to www.interflightstudio.com  for more information and to see other aviation related designs and masterpieces.

InterFlight Studio is proud to be the only gallery in the world specializing in aerospace and aviation contemporary art and design.  We represent a wide variety of artists creating everything from paintings to sculptures to furniture.  Everything we sell is made by a real artist and are mostly one of a kind, priceless items.

DAVID GALE - Metal Artist

David Gale started this work of art as a tribute to the old models that were created for display in the 50's.  He made the tooling for the core as well as wood and plastic patterns for the airplanes' steel structures.  The end result is a unique hand made aircraft with a lamp (with dimmer) designed so when lit, the glow lights up the aircraft, giving the illusion of an aircraft flying at night with its cabin lights on.

The Super Constellation is possibly one of the most beautifully balanced aircraft ever designed.  The dolphin like overall shape and tail design have distinguished this aircraft from the rest.

John Travolta is among the aviation connoisseurs and art collectors, one of the proud owners of an original David Gale lamp.

The Artist:  "I have always liked the exterior shapes of classic aircraft from the 30's through the 50's.  Especially the early jets like the P-80, F-86, Meteor, and MIG-15, and all commercial transports of the 40's and 50's.

In my artwork, I use many of the techniques, riveting, sheet metal etc used in aircraft and automobiles.  Aircraft structure is almost always very strong yet as lightweight as possible, a type of idealized construction.  I try to keep the aesthetics of aircraft alive but add new materials and function to go beyond the creation of a straight sculpture."

David Gale, a native of the Los Angeles area in California, has been an artist as long as he can remember.  With a passion for airplanes and race cars, he creates work of art with a function.  David is mostly impressed with the way that aircraft look despite the fact that their designers concentrated on function and not on aesthetics per se.  Aircraft are engineered and designed with factors in mind other than aesthetics such as speed, airflow, weight, etc.  The fact that aircraft are beautiful is unintentional.  But it is this spontaneous beauty that moves David Gale to create a new function for parts that have lost their function.
